Ntrient dense chicken nuggets recipe

Recipe from @revolveprimalhealth

you probably know that your average chicken nugget is not the most nutritious food available. so I created an easy recipe for a classic favorite that is still delicious but incredibly nutritious!

️nose to tail chicken nuggets!!

These are made with chicken hearts, which are incredibly nutrient dense. They are rich in essential nutrients like copper, zinc, protein, iron, and B vitamins. they are especially rich in B12 - which is important for a healthy brain and good mental health, energy production, supports healthy pregnancies and development, and so much more. It is also a great source of zinc - a trace mineral that is so important for wound healing and immune function.

if you want a way that your whole family will eat chicken hearts, try this!
you need:

  • 1 pound chicken hearts
  • 1 cup pickle brine (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bag @carnivorecrisps (i love the pork loin for this!)
  • 1/2 cup beef tallow (or lard, duck fat, ghee)
  1. Brine your chicken hearts in pickle juice for 4-12 hours
  2. When you are ready to cook, warm up your cooking fat in a large pan over medium heat
  3. Whisk 1 egg in a bowl
  4. Drain the chicken hearts, then dip in egg wash and coat with carnivore crisp crumbs
  5. Once all of the hearts are coated and the oil is hot, carefully place the nuggets into the oil.
  6. Cook for 3 minutes then flip and cook another 3 minutes.
  7. Remove and enjoy! (ideally with a side of nutrient dense french fries)

tip to know your oil is hot enough: put a wooden spoon in the oil and bubbles should form immediately.
